10. Admit that you have stress and need to do something about it.
Now that you’ve read all these great solutions for stress, maybe you’re thinking “I don’t need any of that.” And maybe you don’t. But stress has a habit of creeping up on most of us at one time or another—and some people simply don’t like to admit they’re stressed. It could be they see it as a sign of weakness or they just don’t want to say it to themselves. Just as with everything else, you can’t help yourself until you admit that you need the help. By saying, “Yes, I feel stressed,” you can give yourself permission to do these special things for yourself. And then they won’t be special after a while, because they’ll be a normal—and essential—part of your life.
