Especially if your previous educational history is a bit spotty, it really pays to get good grades when taking your prerequisite classes. Nursing schools look at a wide variety of things when judging applicants (grades, extracurricular activities, essay quality, test scores, etc.), and good grades show determination and knowledge that can set you apart from the crowd.
