What to do when friends say, “I want to be a nurse, too!”

1. Get a taste of what nursing is like.

Before you start taking classes and applying for nursing schools, you probably want to be sure this is something you want to do. If you haven’t already done so at some point in your life, it can be helpful to volunteer at a local hospital during your free time. Not only will you make a difference, you’ll have easy access to other nurses whose brains you can pick, and you can get an idea what the job would be like.
