Cafe at Twelve Hundred – Reid Hospital
Richmond, Ind.
Michelle McClurg, director of food and nutrition services at the Cafe at Twelve Hundred, thinks that not only does her eatery rise above stereotypical “hospital cafeteria food,” but that is unique among all the restaurants in her area.
“We want people to think of this as a retreat from the stress of the day,” she said in a statement on the hospital’s website. “It’s an actual restaurant, with a market-fresh concept and a wide variety of selections. I don’t think there is anything like it in the Richmond area.”
The restaurant offers grill items made to order, a pasta bar and specialty pizzas made in a brick oven.
