Educational Requirements

If you’ve been thinking about this field and you haven’t already earned your master’s degree in nursing (MSN), this will be your next step. To be a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you need at least an MSN.

Don’t Have Time?

Nurses are not only busy, but also work erratic hours that aren’t always conducive to studying and attending classes. So what are your options?

See if your local university offers online classes in addition to or in place of traditional classroom time. Or you can look into the online universities that are becoming more popular. There are credible online programs out there, but be sure to do your due diligence. Make sure that the university you’re looking into will be recognized so you don’t end up throwing your time and resources down the tubes.
