There you have it, and it’s not really all that surprising. The truth is that the highest paid jobs of the near future will likely be similar to what they were in 2009. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, healthcare professionals did top the chart in 2009, but those professionals were surgeons, anesthesiologists, orthodontists, obstetricians and gynecologists, and there’s no indication that’s going to change soon.
A little below those specialized healthcare folk come the CEOs, lawyers, engineers and pilots, with nurses in managerial roles lagging not that far behind. So, if nursing is your passion, there’s no need to think about a career change. And although the money might not match what some other professionals are making, it’s still pretty good.
