Patients and staff members of Unit 5 at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital know how to show they’re brave.
Two nurses in the cancer unit wanted to boost the spirits of their patients and remind them that positive thought is an important part of the healing process. They came up with the idea to make a music video to the song “Brave” by Sara Bareilles, and feature their patients. They were able to get permission to use the song and were even inspired by Bareilles’ original music video.
The video, which features nearly 70 staff members singing and dancing, has since gone viral (more than a million views). And it’s easy to see why!
