Nurses see everything on the job; this video is just one example of the amazing moments of courage that take place in hospitals around the country every single day.

Sonya and Patrick O’Connor recently tied the knot. But instead of marrying in a church or posh hotel, their ceremony took place in a hospital–the bride is dying of a rare fungus that has no cure.

Says Patrick of their wedding, “I made a promise when we got engaged that I wasn’t going to let her leave the world without her being my wife.” He made good on that promise days before Sonya is to move to a hospice center.
