Study shows skilled nursing accounts for 1.7 million jobs

A new study shows that the skilled nursing sector accounts for 1.7 million jobs across the nation, resulting in an economic impact of over $201 billion annually.
The study, completed by the Alliance for Quality Nursing Home Care with analysis by Avalere Health, analyzed the impact of the skilled nursing sector on state economies across all 50 states, as well as the sector’s overall national economic significance.

All 50 states were ranked in order of nursing facility-generated economic impact, with New York, California and Ohio in the top three spots, respectively.
