Shelia Gholston, LPN

As a student in the LPN program at Tennessee Technology Center at Crossville, in Crossville, Tenn., Shelia Gholston battled through five years with a rare form of cancer, a devastating house fire, personal upheaval, and two-hour commutes to school to pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. Recently pinned an LPN, Shelia shines as a stellar role model for students, teachers and patients. Even before she graduated, her motivation and positive attitude led a hospital to invite Shelia to inspire and encourage families whose loved ones suffered from cancer.
