Pregnant Haitian nurse rescued From rubble

0

A 43-year-old Haitian nurse, pregnant with her first child, was pulled from the rubble Friday in a three-hour rescue mission led by Brazilian soldiers.
Jean Baptiste spent 70 hours buried in the rubble of her former place of employment, a five-story children’s hospital in Port-Au-Prince.    Amazingly, her husband worked in the same building and also survived.

Baptiste was recently reunited with her rescuers.  She and her unborn child continue to recover in a make-shift Brazilian-run hospital in Haiti.
