Nurse Jackie snagged 8 primetime Emmy nominations this week, the most for any Showtime show in history. Nominations include:

  • Outstanding Comedy Series
  • Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series
  • Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series
  • Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series
  • Outstanding Main Title Design
  • Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music

Nurse Jackie is up against some stiff competition. Fellow Outstanding Comedy Series nominees include Curb Your Enthusiasm, Modern Family, The Office, Glee and 30 Rock, which has won the award the past three years. Edie Falco, the award-winning actress who plays Jackie, competes against Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation), Julie Louis-Dreyfus (The New Adventures of Old Christine), Lea Michelle (Glee), Toni Collette (The United States of Tara) and Tina Fey (30 Rock) for the Outstanding Lead Actress Award.

We know you love Nurse Jackie — but which other shows and actresses do you think deserve an Emmy?
