NJ nursing school develops single parent program

The Audrey Snyder Single Parent Program at the Muhlenberg Harold B. and Dorothy A. Snyder Schools of Nursing, Medical Imaging, and Therapeutic Sciences in Plainfield, N.J, offers students paid tuition plus rent-free living in a customized dormitory unit that accommodates communal living arrangements among students and their children. These families live together in a ‘pod’ where students can rely on each other for homework, babysitting, and cooking.
The program was developed by the dean of the school, Judith Mathews, RN, PhD, who was once a single parent seeking a nursing degree. Read more here.
