It sounds cheesy, but I actually got very nostalgic. That excitement came rushing back. And while I wasn’t opening up a new box of pens or crayons, I was pulling out the last set of syllabi of nursing school. That whole orientation process we go through on the first day of class, meeting instructors, getting anxious about the workload ahead, and figuring out the next ten weeks of my life have all come down to this week. From this point on it’s officially the last count down.
There are only 9 weeks left, and that count down doesn’t start over again. This is it, Nursing School. The end of the road. Or, in a quote from Semisonic that’s been splashed over graduations since it came out, “Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end.” This is all just getting started. Best of luck to everyone this quarter, whether it’s your first or last – we’re all on this road together.
Any other nursing students have some thoughts about wrapping up school?
