Wallena Gould, CRNA, MSN, and a 2009 Inspired Comfort Award winner, has been featured on Johnson and Johnson’s website, Nursing Notes this week for her ongoing effort to mentor minorities to become nurse anesthetists.
Gould, currently works at South Jersey Health System in New Jersey, and is the founder and chair of the Diversity in Nurse Anesthesia Mentorship Program (DNAMP). The program is designed to inform, empower and mentor underserved minority populations to prepare them for a career in nurse anesthesia.
According to Gould, she will be featured in an upcoming J&J national ad campaign.
