Unless you were a science major in college, you probably are going to need to take several classes that are considered prerequisites for nursing school. Generally the easiest and cheapest way to get credit for the classes you’re missing is to attend a junior or community college. But nothing is more frustrating for someone who goes back to school to find out they wasted time taking classes that aren’t transferable. The key is to speak to a counselor to find out which classes you’ve completed that transfer, and which classes you need to take that will work for you. If you’re trying to go to school and work full-time, the last thing you need is to take a class that won’t help you toward your ultimate goal.
