Good news/bad news: HawthoRNe canceled

0

There’s good news and there’s bad news. In a special edition of good news/bad news this week, we present one news item that can be viewed as good or bad, depending on your stance on the issue.
Good or Bad? You decide:

Last week, TNT announced that it would not bring back the medical drama HawthoRNe for a fourth season, the latest in a slew of medical show cancellations including Mercy, Trauma and Miami Medical. Starring Jada Pinkett Smith as Christina Hawthorne, the show produced declining ratings throughout its third season.

Depending on your thoughts on the show, the news of cancellation may be celebrated or lamented. Regardless, it seems to continue the trend of nursing shows that can’t make it on primetime television. We ask you: why can’t inspiring nursing shows survive?
