UNICEF Canada has released an urgent plea for French-speaking nurses to help in Haiti. A cholera epidemic was confirmed there on October 21, 2010. Over a month into the epidemic, supplies and assistance are still needed. French-speaking nurses are needed to communicate with the population and native medical personnel. (French is one of Haiti’s two official languages. The other is Haitian Creole.)
Interested nurses should email their name and phone number to in**@un****.ca.
