The Partnership for Quality Care, an organization of 1.1 million SEIU healthcare workers and the nation’s leading healthcare providers, has worked in the past several months to bring the voice of healthcare workers to the reform debate. In August, healthcare workers were asked to sign medical scrubs with their own stories and their support of the reform bill. Today, these scrubs have been brought back to Washington to display at a rally featuring Sen. Harry Reid and Labor Secretary Hilda Solis.
According to SEIU.org, “After the rally, these scrubs were delivered to members of Congress, urging them to listen to the voices of those working on the front lines of healthcare in America.”
