Dressing for your body type: 5 fall scrubs looks for hourglass-shaped nurses

Got an hourglass-shaped figure? Shopping for fall? We’ve got you covered with five great scrubs!
According to our helpful style tool (Psst! Check it out for more great suggestions!), ladies with an hourglass shape should check out high-quality fabric tops, empire-waist tops and mock wrap V-neck tops for super-flattering fits. The most flattering pants typically are dark; straight leg, flare or wide leg; and match the top.

Here are our top picks!

V-Neck Top: The style tool suggests empire-waist tops for hourglass figures, stating, “Go for definition! Highlight the narrowest part of your torso with a band under the breasts or empire waist. An empire-style top will skim gently over the waist while fitting well in the chest.” This Cheroke V-neck top features a four-button placket with a contrast print on the front neckband, shoulder and back yoke, front placket and empire waistband. Patch pockets, back elastic and side vents complete the look.

Mock Wrap Top: Another type of top the style guide suggests? Mock wraps! “This type of top would look good on you. The cut clinches above the waist and then falls loosely over the stomach. V-necks are also becoming as they elongate the body.” This black-and-white HeartSoul mock wrap top features a keyhole at the neckline and patch pockets with a pencil stitch. Also featured is double-needle topstitching, a signature woven tape at the back neck, bust darts, back smocking and side vents.

Mock Wrap Top: If you’d like a mock wrap top with a lighter look (which also features an empire waist!), we suggest this top from Cherokee. It features four patch pockets with an added pencil stitch at the right pocket. Elastic at the back waist casing and side vents complete the picture.

Mock Wrap Top: We love this HeartSoul mock wrap top featuring zigzag stitching and heart-shaped gold logo buttons along the front neck. Also featured are angled patch pockets with a small interior pocket, a signature woven tape at the back neck, double-needle stitching and side vents. The dark color is perfect for fall!

Low-Rise Drawstring Pant: One pant to match them all! These Junior fit, low-rise slim pants will match all the tops above and are brand-new in the Dickies store! They feature nine utility pockets, an elastic waist with an inside drawstring and wide belt loops. Also featured are front patch pockets with extra exterior pockets, two cargo pockets and two back pockets. The left front patch pocket has an elastic bungee loop, the right exterior pocket has a functional tab with snap and the right cargo pocket has an exterior triple pen holder. Multi-needle topstitching completes this pant.
