3. Defib — source unknown (we’re convinced…aren’t you?)
A gastroenerology nurse was lying in the Intensive Care Unit with a myocardial infarct when the patient in the next bed arrested. Without hesitation, she jumped up, recognized the signs of ventricular fibrillation, administered instant defibrillation and thereby saved the man’s life.
