Careismatic Brands, Inc. Donates 2,000 Pairs of Shoes to City Square for National Day of Charity

Careismatic Brands, a leading global healthcare apparel and footwear company, has donated 2,000 pairs of Anywear shoes to City Square for National Day of Charity on September 5. City Square began over 30 years ago as a small food pantry in Dallas, and has since evolved into one of the largest providers of services in the city.

Careismatic Brands was founded in 1995 as Strategic Partners, Inc., and quickly grew to be a world leader in medical apparel and school uniforms. The company portfolio includes iconic and emerging brands that include Cherokee® Uniforms, Dickies® Medical, Infinity by Cherokee®, Heartsoul®, Tooniforms®, Elle® Medical, Anywear®, and Scrubstar® brands, among others.

Although designed for medical professionals, the Anywear shoes being donated are ideal for people who look to organizations like City Square for all kinds of help. A City Square representative explains, “Being able to offer someone in need a brand new pair of shoes can be a game changer. I have personally seen individuals be handed a pair of these shoes and their face instantly changed. They were proud to have something nice and new that was theirs.”

Anywear is a brand that has become synonymous with fun, functional, supportive footwear for medical professionals that is also breathable and comfortable. The shoes are designed and manufactured with seamless construction to be easily cleaned. Insoles are treated with antimicrobial agents and keep the wearer light on their feet. The outsoles are oil- and slip-resistant rubber for safety.

The mission of City Square is to fight the causes and effects of poverty through service, advocacy, and friendship. The group is located in South Dallas, just outside of downtown to help serve those most in need who cannot easily access services. City Square offers 20 different programs to help neighbors with various obstacles that may hinder them getting back to stability.

The spokesperson for City Square says that those obstacles are different for everyone: “That is different for each person, family, youth aging out of foster care, veteran trying to access benefits, chronically homeless person dealing with mental illness, and the list goes on.”
