Wear a bathrobe, curlers in your hair or a three-day growth of beard, and slippers. Carry a coffee mug. Ask everyone at the party if they’re sure they know what they’re doing. Bug the host and hostess relentlessly about noise levels. Take half the party food home in brown bags.
