As God as my witness, I will never be pasty again!

I love a good tan.  I have always been a fan of a nice and even but not overly-leathered skin.  However, 30 IS right around the corner for me and new studies are showing that tanning is way worse than we ever had thought.  What is a girl to do???  Then, I discovered the answer.  Airbrush tanning.   I am one of those unfortunate beings who could give Casper the Ghost a run for his money.  While I can get a great tan if I work at it, I have extremely fair skin, and cannot hold a tan below the knee.  I have never been a fan of the spray tan booths because they do not get where you need a tan and put too much tan where you don’t need it!! By the way, orange elbows and heels are not really sexy!

The Experience
I have to admit, I was a little nervous about getting the spray tan.  I could just visualize me walking out of the salon thinking I looked all hot, when in fact; I looked like an oompa loompa!!

I filled out a release prior to the experience just to say I would not sue if I had a reaction to the dye.  No big deal.  The woman was extremely nice and made me feel super comfortable which was a great thing.  After all, I was only in my undies!!  She had me put on a shower cap and put barrier lotion on my elbows, knees, feet, and heels.  This is because these areas look really awkward with a lot of solution, as discussed earlier. She then specially mixed a solution for my skin tone. I then proceeded to stand with my arms held out to the sides as she began the process.  She precisely airbrushed my body front to back while going over my face about three times.  After she finished, I had to stand in front of a fan for about ten minutes to let the solution come to a complete dry.  When all was said and done I was speechless.  I was so happy with the way the airbrushing looked. I looked as if I had been lying on the beach in the Caribbean! I was so psyched about the results!  If only I would have had some abs sprayed on….hmmm, maybe next time!  In the end, the whole process cost me about $25.00, 30 minutes of my time, and the salon gained one happy soon-to-be returning customer!! I would highly recommend the airbrush for anybody looking for a safe and natural looking tan.
