We love finding inspiring nursing videos online and were happy to stumble upon this short documentary from Ryerson University in Canada. Posted to YouTube, the video is one of the university’s online learning tools used by instructors to spark discussion in student forums.

Throughout the video, several nurses and admin speak about what nurses do, what the general public thinks they do and how that affects their lives and career. We especially love a bit where they go “man on the street” and ask passerby what they think nurses do. They also speak at length about how nurses are represented in media and how that might impact the general public’s opinion on nursing.

Watch the video in its entirety here:

What do you think? How do you think the public (including your family and friends!) views nursing today in your corner of the world, and how does that make you feel?
