As a nurse, it’s nice when you receive some small token of recognition for all the work you do. Maybe it’s a present from a patient, your employer, a coworker, or a friend. The good news is that there is an endless supply of nurse themed gifts from which they can select the perfect item for you. The bad news is that there are lots of wacky, tacky and just plain disturbing gifts they can choose from too. The following items are just the tip of the iceberg.

We actually recoiled in horror when this image came up in the search results. Then we realized that this is what nurses must see in the mirror sometimes after pulling a double shift at the age of 55+. These “Aches and Pains Dolls” are marked all over their bodies with the ailments and complaints that accompany the accumulation of years. Poke a pin in this little dolly to ward off a flare-up of your backache or a recurrence of the bunion on your foot. Or just stick pins in it for the joy of stabbing something on a bad day.
