5. Make it possible for patients to pray in the manner to which they’re accustomed.
Muslim patients will often be able to accommodate the rule that they have to face Mecca to pray by simply turning their heads (this is what they did on the International Space Station). Still, it won’t go amiss if you provide a safe, quiet, uninterrupted time for your patient to pray. Turning the bed one way or another isn’t too much to do.
