Earlier this year, costume designer and fashion writer Katie Sparks shared some great tips for wearing scrubs that trim you by 10 pounds. Now, let’s look at how you can follow Katie’s advice with fashion-forward styles from the latest collections of our favorite scrubs manufacturers. All of these styles are available in sizes up to at least 3XL. This means you can look slimmer whether you are petite or plus-size.
Solid Color Slenderizer
Monochrome doesn’t have to mean black. Any rich color that gives definition to your outline will work. This deep blue mock wrap top from Dickies’ New Blue collection is a good example. As a bonus, the style also addresses a common complaint that V-necks tend to gap and show too much cleavage. There’s a little modesty panel installed to bring the front neckline up a couple of inches. This means you don’t have to swelter with a T-shirt underneath the lightweight denim top to keep from accidentally flashing your coworkers or patients.
