3. Dare to Be Different

The Show: Castle

The devilishly handsome mystery writer Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) decides to tailgate NYPD Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) to gain insight into the criminal mind for his new book. The unlikely pairing of ABC’s Castle works wonderfully: They’re actually a pretty unstoppable crime-solving, bad-guy-catching duo… and hilarious, to boot!

The Lesson:

You don’t have to be as witty as Castle or as hardcore as Beckett to realize that sometimes, trying a different approach can work wonders. The success of their partnership goes to show that when you dare to be different, the results can be amazing.

Don’t be afraid to try a less common approach at the hospital (as long as you stick to regulation), or to suggest an alternate angle to helping meet the hospital budget. Not only is this a great way to get you noticed by your peers, but your idea might pay off big time for your hospital, which makes you look great.
