5. Stop using street slang.
Even though young people get sick, too, they are about the only ones who will understand you. (“Yo, yo, yo—do me a solid dawg and start denudulating, aiiight?”) It’s unprofessional to talk slang to a patient. You bring down your IQ by 50 points when you do this, and anyone over 18 is going to ask what language you’re speaking. Just be professional. (“Ma’am, you can get dressed now.”)
