Nurse Gear
8. Gloves of Hope
There are clear gloves, blue gloves and purple gloves—so why not pink gloves? SmartPractice has a new addition to its line of pink ribbon gloves. These are polychloroprene, a comfortable and form-fitting alternative to latex. The line is designed for dentists and dental hygienists, but we’re betting a lot of nurses would like the textured fingertips on these gloves as well. The company donates 5% of profits to breast cancer research and awareness. To date, it has donated more than $150,000.
9. Snip That Ribbon
This is by far the coolest pink ribbon item we have seen. It’s a pair of trauma shears with glittered handles. We love that the maker boasts of the following selling point: “The glitter lasts, and the blood comes off!” 10% of the purchase price goes to nationalbreastcancer.org.
10. Show You Care
If you’re looking for something your whole department can chip in to buy, this is a great option to consider. It’s a BFFLBag® stocked with after-care supplies for women undergoing mastectomy surgery. The bag is full of helpful items like the “axillapilla” and a drain care pack as well as toiletries, healthy snacks, amusements and scar treatment products. 20% of each purchase goes to Friends Fighting Breast Cancer. You and your coworkers could give the bag directly to a patient in need. We don’t think you’ll be able to stop with buying just one…
