10 best nurse book covers

Memoirs of an Emergency Nurse
This one’s pretty artful. The nurse is attractive and young, but a little frazzled, which makes her seem instantly likeable. The washed-out background and saturated accents in the foreground give the effect of a movie flashback. The urgency and energy of the running nurse capture the essence of the book—a memoir of an ER nurse. Unfortunately, the author may have spent too much money on the cover design and not enough on a good editor. The book got some harsh reviews. We’re fortunate to have a lot of nurses who write great content for Scrubs magazine, but apparently not every nurse has amazing writing chops.

“These are true stories taken from my memory, reflecting upon my experience as an emergency nurse. The reality of working in such a volatile and unpredictable environment brings with it excitement, suspense, highs and lows. This book is not for the easily squeamish.”
